Arthur Hofstetter, better known as Uncle Artie, was born in New York City in 1922. He was a veteran, had a strong work ethic and valued family.
He enjoyed attending family school recitals and sporting events throughout his life. Uncle Artie was always up for an adventure, taking his nieces and nephews on excursions such as fishing and boating on the Hudson, trips to upstate New York, seeing the “giant heads” in South Dakota and exploring the West to discover the world’s largest petting zoo.
Uncle Artie moved to Blackfoot 23 years ago and was entertained by the local theater productions and city council meetings. He passed away peacefully Dec. 19, 2011.
At his request, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Uncle Artie will always be remembered as providing valuable life lessons to those he loved and will be dearly missed.
Cremation services are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at firstname.lastname@example.org .
