Viola Galloway, 57, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at her home.
She was born Dec.16, 1954 in Pocatello to Frank Galloway and Georgina Teton.
She lived in the Blackfoot area for most of her life.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Viola worked in the Gay Mines as a heavy equipment operator. She was a custodian at the Indian Health Clinic and also Sho-Ban High School.
She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and had many friends who will miss her deeply. She loved interior decorating and watching movies. She will be greatly missed by her Auntie Truma Davis; she helped with the cattle and spent summers with Truma’s family in the mountain area ranch.
She is survived by two daughters, Toni Johnson (Matt D.) and Leslie Decker ( Will F.), both of Blackfoot; father, Frank Galloway of Blackfoot; brothers, Tony Galloway, Sam (Wendy) Galloway and Walker Galloway, all of Blackfoot; sisters, Marge (Stitch) Edmo of Blackfoot, Norma Galloway (Kelly B.) of Blackfoot, Linda Galloway (Lonnie M.) of Blackfoot and RuDeen Galloway of Fort Hall; seven grandchildren, Taylon Eschief, Lavander Eschief, Caprees Garza, Kaleel Yazzie, Jalesa Yazzie, Trent Tendore and Mila Dixey.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgina, and daughter RaeLee Galloway.
A traditional burial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at the Gibson Cemetery under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot,.
Her body will be taken to the family home on Diggie and Jim Road starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of burial on Wednesday.
