Tammie Sue Wallace Hunt, 39, of Idaho Falls passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from complications due to a stroke she suffered in April.
She was born Nov. 5, 1972 in Mountain Home to William “Bill” J. Wallace and Susan Pearl Ockerman.
She graduated from Blackfoot High School where she was involved in debate, cheerleading and rodeo club. She was the rodeo queen and made it to the National High School Rodeo Finals in pole bending. She was also a member of the Star Dance Team.
Tammie was married and to this union two children, Brodie and Shantelle, were born.
She was an active member of the Calvary Chapel.
Tammie worked in Idaho Falls as a customer service representative for Channel Blend.
She had a big loving heart and always put others, especially her family, first. She loved everyone and was nothing but kind to everyone. She had a great love for horses and dogs. She enjoyed traveling and hanging out with her family.
She is survived by her children, Shantelle Hunt of Blackfoot and Brodie Hunt of Pocatello; parents, Bill and Susan Wallace of Blackfoot; brother, Wade (Katie) Wallace of Firth; nephew, Ryder Wallace and niece, Kinsley Wallace of Firth; and grandmother, Janet Wallace of Blackfoot.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Grace Ockerman and grandfather, Jack Wallace.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at the Calvary Chapel, 4250 S. 25th East in Idaho Falls with Pastor Rick Brown officiating.
A visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 from 7 -9 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
