Pedro Ramirez Jr., 60, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his home.
Pedro was born April 14, 1953 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado to Pedro Ramirez and Lucia Garza. He has lived most of his life and attended school in Blackfoot, Idaho.
On February 2, 1974 Pedro married Elva Hernandez in Coachella, California. They have four children, Lucia “Lucy”, Juan, Roy and Stephanie.
Pedro worked as a farmer since his youth. He spent the last ten years with Trestlewood and Cannon Structures. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially being with his kids and grandkids.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and was active in the parish.
Pedro is survived by his wife, Elva Ramirez of Blackfoot; children, Lucia “Lucy” (Javier Hernandez) Navo, Juan (Joni) Ramirez, Roy (Lacey) Ramirez and Stephanie (Manny) Duarte all of Blackfoot; his father, Pedro Ramirez; brother, Amedeo (Norma) Ramirez of Chubbuck; sisters, Junita (Jose) Longoria of Blackfoot, Olga Ramirez of Boise and Dalia Ramirez of Blackfoot; and nine grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucia; brother, Dionisio Ramirez; sister, Udilia Ramirez; and son-in-law, Ellery Navo.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 584 W. Sexton Street in Blackfoot. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives following the rosary until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral mass at the Grove City Cemetery.
