BLACKFOOT— Concert tickets for country stars Trace Adkins and Chris Young, along with the always popular Demolition Derby, are proving to be hot commodities as Eastern Idaho State Fair officials have already raked in a record number of ticket sales for this year's grandstand events.
While the grandstand events are not sold out yet, fair officials say they are expecting the concerts and the derby to completely sell out.
"Tickets for the concerts and the derby are selling very quickly which is great news," said EISF ticket manager Jordan Wixom. "We are encouraging people to buy their tickets now if they want to attend one of these events."
Chris Young and Morgan Frazier will perform Sept. 5 and Trace Adkins and Due West take the stage Sept. 6. Tickets for the country concerts start at $44 and include both concerts. There are $5 coupons available at Wendy's in Blackfoot, Chubbuck, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Ammon, Rigby and Jackson Hole. The coupons must be picked up by Aug. 5.
The Demolition Derby is set for Sept. 7. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $16 for children.
Other grandstand events this year include the Bull Riding Championships, the RMPA Tractor Pull, the Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo and the Monster FreestyleMX.com Worldwide Tour.
