SHELLEY — Idaho State Police have released the name of the 19-year-old female who died Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash on I15, south of Shelley. She is Colleen N. Jackson, 19, of Saugus, Calif. Her name was withheld until relatives in California were notified.
On Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, Jackson was driving northbound on I15 in a 2005 Dodge pickup when she approached a slower moving vehicle.
Jackson made an abrupt lane change from the right lane to the left lane. She over corrected back to the right lane where she lost control of the vehicle and rolled.
Jackson was ejected along with her passengers, Weston J. Clements, 23, of Bancroft and Ross C. Barfuss, 24, of Bancroft.
The crash occurred at 6:28 a.m. on Thursday at milepost 105, south of Shelley.
Barfuss was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Clements was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Jackson succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
None of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
Idaho State Police was assisted by Bingham County Sheriff's Office, Shelley QRU, and the Blackfoot Fire Department.
