Snake River's first four baskets were 3-pointers as the Panthers started fast en route to a 69-52 District Five victory over Marsh Valley on Friday night.
Jaden Poulter got a steal and layup to complete the first quarter scoring for the Panthers (6-0, 17-3). Trey Albertson and Brad Coombs each had a 3-pointer and Kade Harral had two in Snake River's early barrage.
Snake River led 14-7 after one quarter. The Eagles (2-4, 5-15) closed within 14-10 to open the second before the Panthers answered with a 9-0 run to take control.
Snake River put up 25 points in the third quarter to build a 52-28 advantage heading into the final quarter. The last eight minutes turned into a junior varsity game after coach Bob Coombs pulled his starters.

It was the final home game for five seniors — Harral, Kade Keller, Curtis Keller, Brad Coombs and Albertson.
"That's a good group of kids who've played together for a long time," said coach Coombs. "Tonight they all contributed and did well."
Of the fourth quarter, when the game turned into a junior varsity affair, Coombs said, "it was nice for our younger kids to get a chance to play."
