THOMAS – Five of the six Snake River seniors scored on Wednesday evening and the Snake River Lady Panthers sent those seniors out on a high note by blanked the visiting Lady Tigers of Aberdeen 10-0.
"Senior night is always special with lots of tears and lots of emotion," Snake River head coach Randy Turpin said. "This group of seniors are special, they are all good leaders and great examples for the underclassmen on the team and I think that the underclassmen have learned a lot from this group."
On a night in which they were celebrated the senior class put up a classic lesson of how to dominate your opponent.
The onslaught began in the 4th minute of play as Henrikki Fjaerestad planted a pretty goal for the first of her six goal evening.
Two-minutes later fellow senior Kenna Jensen was able to step to the forefront with a goal for a 2-0 Lady Panther lead.
After another Fjaerestad goal, Aubrey Kofford got into the scoring column with a score in the 17th minute.
Sanni Ryhaenen followed with the first of her two goals on the night in the 35th minute of play and as the whistle sounded ending the first half of play Snake River led 6-0.
