Sandra Ellis, 72 of Blackfoot, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
She was born June 24, 1941 in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Yantes Everett and Evelyn Thompson Hensley.
Her father passed away before she was born. She was raised in Tyhee and the Blackfoot area by her mother and step-father.
Sandra married Gary Ellis on Aug. 20, 1958 in Blackfoot.
She and Gary lived in Blackfoot all her life and raised their family here.
She loved to spend time with her family, visiting and watching her grandchildren in sporting events. They were a big part of her life. Sandra also loved to shop, spend time in the mountains and go camping.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Gary Ellis of Blackfoot; sons, Pete Ellis, Cody Ellis and Everett (Nickie) Ellis, all of Blackfoot; her daughter, Kim (Lanny Metz) Ellis of Blackfoot; a brother, Bill Hill of Montpelier; her grandchildren, Trevor (Maegan) Ellis, Derick Ellis, Tauri (Jayssie) Kelly, Nathen MacFee, Jordyn MacFee, Veronica Ellis and Jeremy Ellis; step- grandchild, Cameron, Caleb and Cale Metz, Brittany, Ruegar and Malakai Pena, Christopher, Whitney, Tristan, Olivia and Cecelia Metz; great-grandchildren, Anabelle, Paxton, Shakaeyla, Brayden and Bentleigh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Frank Hill; brothers, Dean Ren Hill and Tom Hensley; sister Elizabeth Wagner.
