Jose De Jesus Romero, also known as Joe Brown, 59, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Bingham Memorial Hospital after a valiant battle with brain cancer.
Jose was born Dec. 25, 1954 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Fredrico Romero and Irene Fackrell. His father died at a young age and he was raised by Irene and Arliss Fackrell. He moved to Blackfoot, Idaho as a child and spent his lifetime in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1974.
He married Trina Chapman and they had two sons, Tony and Ryan. They were later divorced.
Jose worked at Fackrell Car Wash and then later at Bucyrus-Erie in Pocatello. In his free time he enjoyed exercising; many will remember him walking on Groveland Road and waving to friends. He had a great love for his animals.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Jose is survived by his sons, Tony (Jaymee) Romero and Ryan Romero, both of Blackfoot; his mother, Irene of Mexico; and seven grandchildren, Dakota, Trey, Taylor, Taya, Teagen, Taycen and Ryder.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Arliss Fackrell.

The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Private interment services will take place at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at email@example.com .
