Aberdeen Distinguished Young Women event is Saturday

Aberdeen's Distinguished Young Women contest will be held in the Aberdeen Middle School auditorium at 7 p.m. Saturday. Seven young women will vying for title of 2013 Distinguished Young Woman.
Zoe Moriah Pratt, daughter of Natalie and Christopher Pratt, hopes to attend BYU. She is a member of the Aberdeen High concert, jazz and pep band. Zoe will be playing Sonata in D Major by G.F. Handel on the trumpet.
Whitney Gloria Wahlen is active on the varsity cheer squad, choir and a member of the National Honor Society. Whitney will be performing a piano solo, Angel Eyes by Jim Brickman. She is the daughter of Connie and Kim Wahlen.
Maria Jessica Villegas hopes to become a LPN or a dental assistant at ISU. She participates in church choir and is a waitress and cook. Maria is the daughter of Marcelda and Jose Villegas.
Lauren Kay Sargent, daughter of Diana and Kent Sargent, hopes to attend college at USU or BYU. She is currently working as a clerk at a local pharmacy and enjoys piano lessons. Lauren will perform a piano solo, Marching Season by Yanni.
Kartrina Eggleston hopes to go into the medical profession at BYU-I. Katrina enjoys performing in theater and musicals. She is a reporter for the Aberdeen FFA. Katrina is daughter of Kathy Lin and Verdean Eggleston.
Carolee Taylor Beck hope to attend Utah State or Snow College to pursue a major in music. Carolee is the daughter of Melanie and Jeffery Beck. She enjoys performing vocal/piano pieces at social events. She plays volleyball and basketball at Aberdeen High School. Carolee will perform vocal/piano arrangement by Michael Buble, Feeling Good.
Taylor Rae Wallace has aspirations to become a surgical technician at BYU or ISU. Taylor plays basketball and volleyball and enjoys music. She is talented in playing the piano and the trumpet. Taylor will be performing a piano solo Gypsy Campfire by Louis Sugarman. Taylor is the daughter of Misty and Dwight Wallace.
