Bigfoot Convention in Pocatello

POCATELLO—Whether you're a staunch believer in Bigfoot or just mildly curious about the elusive creature, you'll want to check out the "Walking With Bigfoot" Convention at the Clarion Inn in Pocatello on June 15.
Author Becky Cook, who grew up hearing stories of "Bigfoot on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and wrote the book "Bigfoot Lives in Idaho," organized the event and is pleased to welcome some renowned speakers on Bigfoot to the convention.
According to Cook, the scheduled speakers will be: Arla Collette Williams from Oklahoma who claims to have actual interaction with Bigfoot; Thom Cantrall from Washington who will present some written communication - Bigfoot "glyphs" and Scott Nelson a linguistic expert from Kansas who will talk on Bigfoot's methods of verbal communication.
"There will be other Bigfoot celebrities here too. We don't want to give away all of their secrets but I am positive you will want to meet them," she added.
Cook said the event will open at 9 a.m. and go until 5 p.m. "or until everyone runs out of steam." There will be multiple vendors selling Bigfoot art, novelties, books, CDs, t-shirts and other memorabilia "that will delight any Bigfoot enthusiasts."
"This is the first Bigfoot event in the area since the Bigfoot Rendezvous in 2006 and we have a lot of catching up to do," Cook noted. "If you enjoy reading about Bigfoot, would like to learn more or simply want to hang out with a fun crowd, this is the place to be. Bring 'dad' for a Father's Day celebration he'll never forget."
