Broncos drop tournament opener

The Blackfoot American Legion Broncos baseball team traveled to Boise on Thursday with every intention of getting the weekend tournament started on the right note. Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men.
The Broncos got a good enough pitching performance from starter Cayden Cornell, who delivered a fairly strong five inning performance and the Broncos out hit the home standing Bishop Kelly Barons 10-8, but the final score didn't reflect it. The Bishop Kelly Barons used a three run third inning to propel them to a 5-2 win over the well traveled Broncos.
