City councilman dies

BLACKFOOT — Blackfoot city councilman Farrell Cammack died Tuesday night. Despite a lingering illness Cammack continued to serve until his death.
Cammack was in his 17th year of service to the city. He was reelected to another four-year term in 2011.
Mayor Mike Virtue emailed the following statement on Cammack's death:
"Farrell was substance, not form. He was not pretentious; he was a "boots on the ground" type of guy, a participant, not a spectator...
"He was a repository of invaluable historical city knowledge…," Virtue continued. "The city has lost a strong advocate, and I have lost a good friend."
