Have you ever wanted to swim like a mermaid? The Fin Fun class allows users to experience swimming like a mermaid.
Jeanette Spears, director of the Blackfoot Swimming Pool, said, "A mermaid tail lets the swimmer swim twice as fast as normal. Kids need to know how to swim."
"The kids life who are going to teach these sessions are so excited," she said.
On Wednesday, Matt Look, Director of Public Relations & Marketing of BMH, presented a $1,000 check to the swimming pool for the purchase of equipment, like Mermaid tails and monofins.
"We are happy to donate to the pool. Swimming is one of the best kinds of exercise," he said. "These programs for youth keep them active."
Fin Fun sessions are from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday of Friday, June 13, 14 or 15, at the Blackfoot Swimming Pool. Other dates are available.
