First Ag Talk Tuesday a success

The first "Ag Talk Tuesday" drew an attendance of 25. Specialists from the University of Idaho Agricultural Extension organized the event as a lunchtime talk at the Homestead Restaurant in Blackfoot on Tuesday, June 5."I think it was a success," said Professor Juliet Marshal of the U of ID. "We had a mixed audience including some industry reps and consultants."
Five different U of I experts were present at the hour and a half program.The talk program is aimed at growers and others involved in agriculture. The crop specialists from the U of I in eastern Idaho plan to hold more talk sessions throughout the growing season in order to interact with growers, answers questions, and discuss current crop status.
They also want to hear input from growers about their experiences on what works and doesn't work on working farms.
The next Ag Talk Tuesday events are on June 12 in Pocatello at the Bamboo Garden and June 19 at the Bay Cafe in American Falls.
