Ione Hill, 42

Ione Hill, 42, of Gibson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born Sept. 28, 1969 in Blackfoot to Stanford Hill and the late Ardith S. Hill.  She attended school in Blackfoot, getting her GED and going on to Utah State University in Logan, Utah, with her sister by her side.  She was a lifetime area resident.
Ione loved traveling to powwows when she was young, as she got older she traveled all over with her mom and sister.  Her favorite places were Albuguergue, New Mexico;San Diego, Calif.; Palm Springs, Calif.; and Las Vegas, Nev.
Ione was employed with the Fort Hall Casino for eight years and worked as a cashier in the Sage Hill Casino since it opened.  She made a lot of friends, both workers and patrons.  She always greeted them with a smile and a “good luck”.  We will miss her smile, laugh, and conversations.
She was in love with her little nephew, Dalton Stark, the minute she saw and held him.  They became inseparable when she wasn’t working.  He was with her everywhere she went; they shared a special bond.  She was his Auntie-Momma and he will miss her.
Ione enjoyed reading, listening to music, beading and loved being with her sister and nephew.
She is survived by her father, Stanford Hill of Gibson; sister, Edith (Charles Stark) Hill of Gibson; nephew, Dalton Stark of Gibson; aunts, Lorraine Eschief of Gibson; Pearl Tillman, Linda Tillman, Donna Tillman, all of Fort Washakie, Wyo.; Sharon Johnson of Fort Hall;  uncles, James Tone Jr. of Gibson; Steven Tillman of Fort Washakie, Wyo.; and many cousins.
