ISU student died on I15 near Shelley

SHELLEY — One Idaho State University student died in an early morning accident on Interstate 15 at milepost 105 south of Shelley on Thursday, Oct. 10.
At 6:28 a.m., the Idaho State Police were investigating a one-vehicle fatality crash south of Shelley.
A woman was northbound in a 2005 Dodge pickup when she approached a slower moving vehicle. She mad an abrupt lane change from the right lane to the left lane. She overcorrected back to the right lane where she lost control of the vehicle. The pickup rolled.
No one was wearing seat belts, said ISP. All three people inside were ejected.
The driver died in the crash. Authorities are working on getting in contact with next of kin in California.
The other two were taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
All were students at ISU in Pocatello. Names have not yet been released.
