Lady Panthers stay perfect with 13-1 win over Teton

RIVERSIDE — Eight times so far this season the Snake River Lady Panthers have taken the field, and eight times they have come out victorious.
But after almost dropping the second game of a doubleheader at Sugar-Salem on Friday, the Lady Panthers took to the field of Riverside Elementary on Saturday morning looking to get back on track.
The offense did not miss a beat as the Panthers pounded out 11 hits and scored 13 runs on the way to a 13-1 five inning victory on Saturday.
"We are playing some pretty good softball right now," Snake River head coach Kay Martin said. "Our bats are working and we are getting some really good pitching every time out."
Freshman Alyssa Crumley took to the circle on Saturday and she was light's out allowing one run and five hits all while striking out five in her complete game effort.
Offensively the Panthers got two run in the first after Sara Goodwin scored on a wild pitch afar drawing a one out walk.
After a walk to Anissa Reyes and a walk to Crumley, Raegan Martin hit a sacrifice fly to short right field driving home Reyes.
Goodwin got her first of two RBI's in the second with an RBI single, but it was the third inning when the Panthers offense exploded.
The inning began with four consecutive base runners as Crumley led off with a walk.
The Martin, Mayce Polatis and Piper Coles all singled, Coles' hit drove in Crumley.
Ciara Van Orden drew a bases loaded walk, Kara Polatis drove in another run with a single and then Ashlyn Wood singled to drive in another.
After another bases loaded walk, Martin singled driving home two more runs to give the Panthers a 10-1 lead.
Goodwin and Wood added RBI hits in the fourth to build the score to 13-1.
Wood and Martin each finished the dat 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Snake River (9-0) hosts American Falls on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
