Pride Days continues on Saturday

Some of the most anticipated events of Pride Days such as the free airplane rides, the snowmobile races across Jensen Grove Lake and the Ping-Pong ball drop are happening today along with two new events: the mini "Color Run" and live entertainment by local, seasoned performers at the Jensen Grove ampitheater.
The free airplane rides will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for people 8 and up. Participants need to go to Jensen Grove and a pick up a ticket prior to the flights. A shuttle will take people to the airport.
"If the weather is too hot or too windy, the plane rides will end," said organizer Natalie Bergevin. "We invite the public to come out and learn more about airplanes and the airport."
Airplanes will be on display at the Blackfoot Airport from noon to 4 p.m. and free ice cream will be served.
The free breakfast sponsored by Blackfoot Pipes & Drums is 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the free potato feed, sponsored by area growers, is from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both events will be at Jensen grove.
The Blackfoot Swimming Pool will be hosting an ongoing mini "Color Run" starting at 9 a.m. Participants should come to the booth next to the skate park to pick up a waiver form before starting the run.
The popular snowmachine races across Jensen Grove Lake will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants can still register from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
There will be free entertainment featuring "experienced" performers from throughout the region at the Jensen Grove Ampitheater from 3-6:45 p.m.
"We are so excited to offer this new entertainment for Pride Days," said organizer Tanna Beal. "We have an excellent variety of entertainers from violinist to comedians. We invite everyone to bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy this like a Shakespearean event."
Children and adults alike love to keep their eyes to the sky for the annual Ping-Pong ball drop. A plane will fly over the Jensen Grove disc golf park at 7 p.m. dropping around 2,500 balls (all worth a prize).
Organizer Aaron Moon said prizes can be redeemed on the spot, adding, "There will be cash prizes as well as many valuable coupons from local businesses."
