Steven Lynn Johnson, 50, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Jan. 27, 2014, in Shelley.
He was born Jan. 20, 1964, in Ann Arbor, Mich. to Grover Vaughn Johnson and Sandra Lee Foster Johnson.  He was raised in Omaha, Neb. where he attended schools and graduated from Burke High School.  He continued his education at Brigham Young University where he received his bachelor’s degree and then Colorado State University where he received his master’s degree in Business Finance.
On Dec. 15, 1986, he married Kim Marie Jolley in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.  They were married until 2010.
He worked in the fuel distribution industry and was the owner of DBS Inc.  Steve was active in the Kiwanis Club where he served as president and also was Grid Kid director where he was a well-loved coach for many years.  He coached baseball and served as a Scoutmaster in the Boy Scout program where he touched the lives of many young men.
Steve was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  As a youth he served as a missionary to the Arizona Holbrook Mission and learned the Navajo language.  While on his mission he gained a love for the Southwest Red Rocks, where he spent the last week of his life enjoying their beauty with his sweetheart, Betsy Monson.  Steve was very generous with his time and money and performed countless acts of random kindness.
