Tobie Kade Robinson, 23

Tobie Kade Robinson, 23, of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 1, 1988, in Pocatello to Ronald Kay and Rhonda Kim Murray Robinson. Tobie was the third of four boys. He lived in Pocatello and Boise until the age of six when his family moved to Blackfoot.
He attended school in Blackfoot where he graduated from Blackfoot High School in 2007. While attending BHS he participated in soccer and wrestling. He learned many valuable life lessons on the mat where he was guided and mentored by his father, brothers and wonderful coaches. True to family tradition, Tobie was an accomplished wrestler. He was a district wrestling champion and qualified for the Idaho High School State Wrestling Tournament three years. He helped his team win two state wrestling titles and placed fifth at state his senior year.
With his playful smile and charming personality, Tobie had a certain magnetism that drew others in. From the time he was little, he was easygoing and enjoyable to be around. His dimples and chubby face made him irresistible. He grew out of his chubby face and became a handsome young man. He was warm, compassionate and often on the verge of laughter. He was quick to repent when he made mistakes and wanted to make things right.
A favorite among his niece and younger cousins, it was not uncommon for Tobie to find time for the little ones. His family was the center to his life. Around Labor Day each year he would go camping with his father and brothers. That created an unbreakable bond between them. He was a loyal son and brother.
Tobie had a unique flare for life and a style all his own. He collected and wore many hats and shoes. It seemed he never wore the same hat twice. In his free time he liked to skate and would take to the street whenever he could. He enjoyed restoring and working on old pickups. He also had a rare talent for woodworking and making furniture.
Not one to exhibit entitlement, Tobie was known for his work ethic and wanted to earn his way. He was an intense competitor and still loved to play soccer. He played each year in the Blackfoot Men’s Soccer League and was especially looking forward to playing with his three brothers on the same team this summer. He did things his way and was able to laugh at himself with ease. He truly made an impact on all who knew him.
At the time of his death Tobie was working for Modern Steel Buildings. Previously, he worked in Jackson Hole as a mason.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Rhonda; three brothers, Tyler (Blanca),  Taran (Melanie) and Titus Robinson; maternal grandparents, Bob and Sandra Murray; paternal grandparents, Joel and Elaine Robinson;  niece, Ariana Robinson and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011, and again for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the Robinson family at:
