Winter weather alert

Another winter weather alert has been issued is Southeastern Idaho. This picture was taken in Blackfoot where there’s so much snow in the distance it’s hard to see anything else.

Plan on slippery road conditions. In addition, areas of poor visibility are expected. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches, except 7 to 10 inches on ridge tops and elevations above passes, are expected. * WHERE...The Marsh and Arbon Highlands and Bear Lake Valley, including but not limited to Inkom, McCammon, Lava Hot Springs, Georgetown Summit, Bennington, Montpelier, Geneva Summit, Border Summit, Paris, Bloomington, St. Charles, and Fish Haven. * WHEN...Until 5 PM MST Tuesday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow, especially over mountain passes.
