Lady Broncos win sixth straight

BLACKFOOT - Whether it was the pressure of a five game winning streak, the Chris Gardner Memorial gymnasium being as cold inside as the weather was outside or 'invisible lids' on the top of the rims at either end of the court, the first quarter of the Tuesday night game between the visiting Hillcrest Lady Knights and the Blackfoot Lady Broncos left a lot to be desired. The two teams battled back and forth, at times the ball barely getting over the mid court line before heading back the other way, and when the buzzer mercifully sounded to end the first period, the score was 4-1 in favor of the visitors.
The game would pick up the pace in a big way as the Broncos would add 16 points in the second period to grab control of the contest before intermission as Blackfoot would cruise to a 52-38 game and notch their sixth straight win.
